New Mexico High School Basketball - Animas nips Corona
January 13, 2018: Animas, NM 88020 Animas Panthers (Animas, NM) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Corona Cardinals (Corona, NM), 1-0 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Animas upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Panthers travel to Lordsburg (Lordsburg, NM) to play the Mavericks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Mavericks go into the bout with a record of 12-4. Lordsburg won 58-57 in their recent non-league bout against Tularosa (Tularosa, NM)
Next up, the Cardinals play the Carrizozo Grizzlies (Carrizozo, NM) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Corona will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a 0-11 record after their 54-18 non-league loss to Hondo Valley (Hondo, NM).
