Ubly Bearcats (Ubly, MI) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mayville Wildcats (Mayville, MI), 69-22 in a league bout.

With the victory, Ubly upgrades its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Bearcats host Bad Axe (Bad Axe, MI) to clash with the Hatchets in a non-league test on Friday, January 27. The Hatchets go into the test with a record of 4-4. Bad Axe won 59-53 in their recent league test against Vassar (Vassar, MI)

The Wildcats now own a 2-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Marlette for a Greater Thumb - East test on Wednesday, February 1.
