Texas High School Basketball - Refugio overwhelms George West
December 17, 2021: Refugio, TX 78377 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Refugio Bobcats (Refugio, TX) and the visiting George West Longhorns (George West, TX), saw Refugio's basketball squad wallop George West by a tally of 75-22.
With the victory, Refugio improves its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Kenedy (Kenedy, TX) to play the Lions in a 2A Region IV District 31 challenge on Friday, December 31. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 1-5.
Next up, the Longhorns play the Mathis Pirates (Mathis, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 29 challenge, on Tuesday, December 21. George West will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record.
