Smith County Owls (Carthage, TN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host East Nashville Magnet Eagles (Nashville, TN), 40-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Smith County upgrades its record to 14-7 on the season. The Owls travel to Gatlinburg-Pittman (Gatlinburg, TN) to clash with the Highlanders in a non-league bout on Thursday, March 7. The Highlanders go into the bout with a record of 33-3. Gatlinburg-Pittman won 67-27 in their recent non-league bout against Meigs County (Decatur, TN)
