Virginia High School Basketball - Avalon trounced by Potomac School

December 18, 2012: McLean, VA 22101

The Potomac School Panthers routed the visiting Avalon Black Knights basketball team by a final score of 73-47 in Tuesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Panthers face the Sidwell Friends Quakers (Washington, DC) in a Mid-Atlantic [MAC] game, on Thursday, December 20. Potomac School will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record. The Quakers enter the game with a 11-1 record after their 82-56 non-league win over Georgetown Prep (North Bethesda, MD).

With the defeat, Avalon moves to 7-2 on the year. The Black knights travel to Heritage Christian Academy (Lanham, MD) to face the Mighty Eagles in a non-league game on Friday, December 21. The Mighty Eagles go into the outing with a record of 1-10. Heritage Christian Academy lost 101-34 in their recent league outing against Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, MD)
