Weslaco Panthers (Weslaco, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Hanna Golden Eagles (Brownsville, TX), 11-1 in a league test.

With the win, Weslaco upgrades its record to 19-4 on the season. The Panthers travel to Harlingen South (Harlingen, TX) to battle the Hawks in a 6A Region IV District 32 test on Tuesday, April 19. The Hawks come into the test with a record of 3-13. Harlingen South won 6-1 in their recent league test against Rivera (Brownsville, TX)

With the defeat, Hanna falls to 6-15 on the season. The Golden eagles host Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX) to battle the Falcons in a 6A Region IV District 32 test on Tuesday, April 19.
