Texas High School Basketball - Pittsburg knocked off by Honey Grove
December 30, 2022: Honey Grove, TX 75446 The Honey Grove Warriors basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Pittsburg Pirates to 42 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Friday.
The Warriors now sport a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Celeste for a 2A Region II District 14 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Honey Grove will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 54-53 non-league loss to Lone Oak (Lone Oak, TX). The Blue Devils record now stands at 11-8.
The Pirates (5-13) will now prepare for their contest against Frankston (Frankston, TX). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 9-8 record. In their last contest, Frankston was outscored by Splendora (Splendora, TX), 48-31, in a non-league contest.
