Lakewood Lancers (Lakewood, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting La Serna Lancers (Whittier, CA), 64-62 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lakewood upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Millikan (Long Beach, CA) to play the Rams in a Moore bout on Monday, December 13. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 2-4. Millikan lost 86-50 in their recent non-league bout against Upland (Upland, CA)

Next up, the Lancers play the Capistrano Valley Cougars (Mission Viejo, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 4. La Serna will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 62-36 non-league win over Cerritos (Cerritos, CA).
