Hopewell Titans (Huntersville, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC), 11-5 in a league test.

With the win, Hopewell upgrades its record to 14-4 on the season. The Titans host North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC) to battle the Vikings in a Queen City 3A/4A test on Tuesday, April 16. The Vikings come into the test with a record of 10-8. North Mecklenburg lost 14-3 in their recent non-league test against Salisbury (Salisbury, NC)

With the defeat, Mallard Creek falls to 8-10 on the season. The Mavericks travel to West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC) to battle the Hawks in a Queen City 3A/4A test on Tuesday, April 16.
