Texas High School Basketball - Lutheran can't hold off La Marque
December 7, 2023: San Antonio, TX 78240 The La Marque Cougars basketball team scored 66 points and held the host Lutheran Mustangs to 65 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Cougars now sport a 3-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brazosport for a 4A Region IV District 26 contest on Tuesday, December 12. La Marque will battle a Exporters team coming off a 52-47 league win over Bay City (Bay City, TX). The Exporters record now stands at 13-3.
The Mustangs (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against John Paul II (New Braunfels, TX). The Guardians enter the non-league contest with a 6-4 record.
