New Mexico High School Basketball - Los Lunas tops Mayfield
December 29, 2023: Las Cruces, NM 88007 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Los Lunas Tigers (Los Lunas, NM) and the host Mayfield Trojans (Las Cruces, NM), saw Los Lunas's basketball squad knock off Mayfield by a tally of 61-46.
With the victory, Los Lunas improves its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM) to play the Knights in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 30. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 8-1. Organ Mountain won 56-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM)
Next up, the Trojans play the Silver Fighting Colts (Silver City, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Mayfield will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Fighting Colts come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 66-44 non-league loss to Valley (Albuquerque, NM).
