January 24, 2019: Fort Lee, NJ 07024 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Fort Lee Bridgemen (Fort Lee, NJ) and the visiting Mahwah Thunderbirds (Mahwah, NJ), saw Fort Lee's basketball squad hold off Mahwah by a tally of 59-58.
With the victory, Fort Lee improves its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Bridgemen travel to Westwood (Washington Township, NJ) to confront the Cardinals in a Big North - American challenge on Tuesday, January 29. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 12-2. Westwood won 60-47 in their recent non-league test against Ridgefield Park (Ridgefield Park, NJ)
The Thunderbirds now own a 9-4 record. They play next when they host Kearny for a non-league test on Saturday, January 26. Mahwah will encounter a Kardinals squad coming off a 54-38 league loss to St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City, NJ). The Kardinals record now stands at 4-10.
