Ohio High School Basketball - Smithville knocked off by Malvern
November 26, 2022: Smithville, OH 44677 The Malvern Hornets basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Smithville Smithies to 45 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Hornets now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ridgewood for a Inter-Valley contest on Friday, December 2. Malvern will battle a Generals team coming off a 45-32 league win over Newcomerstown (Newcomerstown, OH). The Generals record now stands at 1-0.
The Smithies (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Dalton (Dalton, OH). The Bulldogs enter the Wayne County contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Dalton was defeated by Hiland (Berlin, OH), 48-43, in a non-league contest.
