The Manchester Panthers basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Coventry Comets to 24 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Panthers now sport a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Smithville for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 29. Manchester will battle a Smithies team coming off a 36-32 league loss to Waynedale (Apple Creek, OH). The Smithies record now stands at 10-5.

The Comets (1-12) will now prepare for their contest against Field (Mogadore, OH). The Falcons enter the Metro contest with a 2-11 record. In their last contest, Field was routed by Streetsboro (Streetsboro, OH), 59-47, in a league contest.
