New Mexico High School Basketball - Taos over Pojoaque Valley
February 8, 2022: Taos, NM 87571 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Taos Tigers (Taos, NM) and the visiting Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM), saw Taos's basketball squad overcome Pojoaque Valley by a tally of 67-49.
With the victory, Taos improves its record to 18-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Moriarty (Moriarty, NM) to play the Pintos in a 4A District 2 challenge on Friday, February 11. The Pintos come into the challenge with a record of 4-13. Moriarty lost 75-28 in their recent league challenge against Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM)
Next up, the Elks/Elkettes play the Albuquerque Academy Chargers (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 11. Pojoaque Valley will attempt to improve on its 6-15 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 70-68 league win over Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM).
