The East Burke Cavaliers basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Bandys Trojans to 36 in the Cavaliers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cavaliers now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lincolnton for a 2A Conference 45 contest on Wednesday, January 26. East Burke will battle a Wolves team coming off a 69-31 league loss to Newton-Conover (Newton, NC). The Wolves record now stands at 3-11.

The Trojans (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC). The Bears enter the 2A Conference 45 contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, Bunker Hill was defeated by Newton-Conover (Newton, NC), 57-39, in a league contest.
