In Wednesday's league battle, the host Somerset Eagles volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Forest Hills Rangers.

The Eagles (14-0) will now prepare for their battle against Chestnut Ridge (New Paris, PA). The Lions come into the Laurel Highlands 2 battle with a 14-3 record. In their last battle, Chestnut Ridge nudged Central Cambria (Ebensburg, PA), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Rangers clash with the Bedford Bisons (Bedford, PA) in a Laurel Highlands 2 battle, on Thursday, October 13. Forest Hills will attempt to advance on its 17-3 season record. The Bisons come into the battle with a 12-3 record after their 3-1 league win over Richland (Johnstown, PA).
