Illinois High School Softball - Argo holds off Berwyn/Cicero Morton
March 19, 2024: Summit, IL 60501 Argo Argonauts (Summit, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Berwyn/Cicero Morton Mustangs (Cicero, IL), 6-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Argonauts now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Chicago Christian for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 20. Argo will face a Knights squad coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Evergreen Park (Evergreen Park, IL). The Knights record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Berwyn/Cicero Morton falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Trinity (River Forest, IL) to face the Blazers in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 25. The Blazers enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Trinity lost 16-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Fenwick (Oak Park, IL)
