In Thursday's non-league contest, the Boaz Pirates (Boaz, AL) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Good Hope Raiders (Cullman, AL), by a margin of 12-2.

With the triumph, Boaz moves its record to 7-1 on the year. The Pirates travel to Douglas (Douglas, AL) to play the Eagles in a 5A Area 13 contest on Tuesday, March 12. The Eagles come into the contest with a record of 3-1. Douglas lost 14-4 in their recent league contest against Southside (Gadsden, AL)
