The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders (Altoona, PA) and the host Bedford Bisons (Bedford, PA), observed Bishop Guilfoyle's football squad defeat Bedford by a count of 34-16.

The Marauders now own a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Westmont Hilltop for a Laurel Highlands contest on Saturday, September 3.

Coming up next, the Bisons play the Central Cambria Red Devils (Ebensburg, PA) in a Laurel Highlands contest, on Friday, September 2. Bedford will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Red Devils go into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 33-6 league loss to Somerset (Somerset, PA).
