In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) baseball squad triumphed over the visiting South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC), by a margin of 8-2.

With the win, Topsail betters its record to 2-1 on the season. The Pirates travel to Hoggard (Wilmington, NC) to encounter the Vikings in a challenge on Friday, March 17. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 5-1. Hoggard won 8-2 in their recent non-league challenge against West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC)
