New Jersey High School Basketball - Newton overwhelms Kittatinny Regional
January 31, 2017: Newton, NJ 07860 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Newton Braves (Newton, NJ) and the host Kittatinny Regional Cougars (Newton, NJ), saw Newton's basketball squad wallop Kittatinny Regional by a count of 80-51.
With the victory, Newton upgrades its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Hackettstown (Hackettstown, NJ) to play the Tigers in a Northwest Jersey - Freedom challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 8-7. Hackettstown lost 58-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Orange (Orange, NJ)
Next up, the Cougars play the Wallkill Valley Rangers (Hamburg, NJ) in a Northwest Jersey - Freedom challenge, on Thursday, February 2. Kittatinny Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record. The Rangers come into the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 73-61 non-league loss to Vernon (Vernon, NJ).
