August 25, 2023: Coeburn, VA 24230 Central Wise Warriors (Norton, VA) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Eastside Spartans (Coeburn, VA), 14-7 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Central Wise improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Marion (Marion, VA) to confront the Scarlet Hurricanes in a non-league test on Friday, September 1. The Scarlet Hurricanes come into the test with a record of 0-1. Marion lost 21-9 in their recent non-league test against Chilhowie (Chilhowie, VA)
With the loss, Eastside drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Hurley (Hurley, VA) to meet the Rebels in a non-league game on Friday, September 1. The Rebels come into the game with a record of 0-1. Hurley lost 20-12 in their recent non-league game against Sherman (Seth, WV)
