March 9, 2024: Chireno, TX 75937 Spectators at Saturday's non-league battle between the Frankston Indians (Frankston, TX) and the host Chireno Owls (Chireno, TX), saw Frankston's baseball squad knock off Chireno by a count of 7-3.
Coming up next, the Indians play the LaPoynor Flyers (LaRue, TX) in a 2A Region III District 20 battle, on Tuesday, March 12. Frankston will attempt to move on its 14-5 season record. The Flyers enter the battle with a 4-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Arp (Arp, TX).
The Owls now possess a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Burkeville for a 2A Region III District 24 battle on Monday, March 11. Chireno will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 27-0 league loss to West Sabine (Pineland, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-1.
