March 1, 2024: Jasper, GA 30143 Pickens Dragons (Jasper, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Cartersville Hurricanes (Cartersville, GA), 5-4 in a non-league test.
With the win, Pickens upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Dragons host Grissom (Huntsville, AL) to battle the Tigers in a non-league test on Saturday, March 2. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 5-2. Grissom lost 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Wesleyan Christian Academy (High Point, NC)
With the defeat, Cartersville falls to 7-2 on the campaign. The Hurricanes travel to Hernando (Hernando, MS) to play the Tigers in a non-league battle on Saturday, March 2. The Tigers enter the battle with a record of 6-1. Hernando lost 2-1 in their recent non-league battle against Thompson (Alabaster, AL)
