Louisiana High School Basketball - Carencro holds off Natchitoches Central
December 22, 2023: Natchitoches, LA 71457 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Carencro Bears (Lafayette, LA) and the host Natchitoches Central Chiefs (Natchitoches, LA), saw Carencro's basketball squad hold off Natchitoches Central by a tally of 51-46.
With the victory, Carencro improves its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Bears host New Iberia (New Iberia, LA) to confront the Yellowjackets in a 5A District 3 challenge on Friday, January 12. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 5-10.
Next up, the Chiefs confront the Walker Wildcats (Walker, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 23. Natchitoches Central will attempt to improve on its 12-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 17-1 record after their 61-55 non-league win over John Curtis Christian (River Ridge, LA).
