The North Pontotoc Vikings held off the visiting Independence Wildcats football team by a count of 22-19 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, North Pontotoc upgrades its record to 10-3 on the season. The Vikings travel to Velma Jackson (Camden, MS) to confront the Falcons in a non-league outing on Friday, November 18. The Falcons go into the outing with a record of 11-1. Velma Jackson won 51-12 in their recent non-league outing against North Panola (Sardis, MS)

With the loss, Independence moves to 8-5 on the season.
