California High School Basketball - Yerington ripped by Portola
November 30, 2023: Portola, CA 96122 The Portola Tigers basketball team scored 40 points and held the visiting Yerington Lions to 13 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Tigers now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Tahoe for a non-league contest on Friday, December 1. Portola will battle a Vikings team coming off a 46-31 non-league loss to Fernley (Fernley, NV). The Vikings record now stands at 1-1.
The Lions (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Coral Academy of Science - Reno (Reno, NV). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Coral Academy of Science - Reno was routed by Carson (Carson City, NV), 32-16, in a non-league contest.
