Michigan High School Softball - Negaunee bounces L'Anse
May 14, 2019: L'Anse, MI 49946 Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Negaunee Miners (Negaunee, MI) and the host L'Anse Purple Hornets (L'Anse, MI), witnessed Negaunee's softball squad prevail over L'Anse by a count of 16-1.
The Miners now sport a 5-0 record. They play next when they travel to Ishpeming for a Mid-Peninsula match on Friday, May 17. Negaunee will meet a Hematites squad coming off a 16-1 league loss to Westwood (Ishpeming, MI). The Hematites record now stands at 8-9.
With the loss, L'Anse moves to 1-3 on the season. The Purple hornets host Hancock (Hancock, MI) to meet the Bulldogs in a Western Peninsula match on Monday, May 20. The Bulldogs go into the match with a record of 1-1.
