Illinois High School Basketball - Pinckneyville overwhelms Steeleville
January 29, 2022: Pinckneyville, IL 62274 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Pinckneyville Panthers (Pinckneyville, IL) and the visiting Steeleville Warriors (Steeleville, IL), saw Pinckneyville's basketball squad wallop Steeleville by a tally of 47-24.
With the victory, Pinckneyville improves its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Anna-Jonesboro (Anna, IL) to confront the Wildcats in a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Mississippi challenge on Friday, February 4. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 3-19. Anna-Jonesboro won 87-71 in their recent non-league challenge against Frankfort (West Frankfort, IL)
Next up, the Warriors confront the Cobden Appleknockers (Cobden, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 1. Steeleville will attempt to improve on its 17-6 season record. The Appleknockers come into the challenge with a 17-5 record after their 51-31 non-league win over Webber (Bluford, IL).
