Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the South Effingham Mustangs (Guyton, GA) and the visiting Islands Sharks (Savannah, GA), saw South Effingham's basketball squad overcome Islands by a tally of 49-34.

With the victory, South Effingham improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Richmond Hill (Richmond Hill, GA) to confront the Wildcats in a AAAAAA Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, December 7. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 6-0. Richmond Hill won 42-25 in their recent non-league challenge against Hilton Head (Hilton Head Island, SC)

Next up, the Sharks confront the Calvary Day Cavaliers (Savannah, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 7. Islands will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 73-38 non-league win over Beach (Savannah, GA).
