In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) basketball squad felled the host Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC), by a margin of 71-55.

The Red Tornadoes (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Newton-Conover (Newton, NC). The Red Devils go into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Newton-Conover was beaten by Patton (Morganton, NC), 79-57, in a non-league outing.

The Greenwave now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host East Lincoln for a non-league outing on Wednesday, December 1. Ashbrook will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 84-41 non-league win over West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-0.
