Kentucky High School Basketball - Berea nips Somerset
December 28, 2023: Berea, KY 40403 Berea Pirates (Berea, KY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Somerset Briar Jumpers (Somerset, KY), 52-46 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Berea upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Pirates host Casey County (Liberty, KY) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 3-7. Casey County lost 64-51 in their recent non-league bout against Floyd Central (Eastern, KY)
Next up, the Briar Jumpers play the Clay County Tigers (Manchester, KY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Somerset will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 65-35 non-league loss to Boyle County (Danville, KY).
