Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Desert Vista Thunder (Phoenix, AZ) and the host Liberty Lions (Peoria, AZ), witnessed Desert Vista's softball squad tip Liberty by a count of 7-0.

The Thunder now sport a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Pinnacle for a non-league match on Friday, March 10. Desert Vista will meet a Pioneers squad coming off a 14-3 non-league win over Gila Ridge (Yuma, AZ). The Pioneers record now stands at 3-3.

With the loss, Liberty moves to 2-5 on the season. The Lions host Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Wednesday, March 8. The Bulldogs go into the match with a record of 5-1. Queen Creek won 11-0 in their recent non-league match against Boulder Creek (Anthem, AZ)
