Mariner Tritons (Cape Coral, FL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Cox (Harvey, LA), 58-57 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mariner upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Tritons travel to Metairie Park Country Day (Metairie, LA) to clash with the Cajuns in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Cajuns go into the bout with a record of 9-6. Metairie Park Country Day lost 42-41 in their recent non-league bout against Edna Karr (New Orleans, LA)

Next up, the clash with the West Jefferson Buccaneers (Harvey, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Cox will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a 9-11 record after their 82-78 non-league loss to John Curtis Christian (River Ridge, LA).
