Poly finished a sweep of the week's home-and-home series with league opponent Chadwick, riding a 15-hit attack to a 6-inning mercy victory. The win was the Panthers' 10th straight and 12th of 13. Luke Asperger, Jonah Campbell, and Caleb Lee all had 3 hits, and Davey Feess had 2. Asperger had 2 doubles and scored 3 runs, and and Campbell, Feess and Ward also had doubles. Zack Bern had 3 RBI while Campbell and Chris Ward had 2 each. Ward (8-0) scattered 4 hits and a run over 5 innings, and Feess pitched a scoreless inning to wrap it up. Poly played flawless defense on the day, led by Campbell's 6 errorless chances. In the final week of regular season play next week, Poly hosts current Prep League leader Webb (9-1 league record, ranked 4th in CIF-SS Div 6) on Tue 5/08 at 4:00 PM. The winner of the game will almost certainly end up being the Prep League champion.
