In Friday's league game, the Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals (Blue Island, IL) football team knocked off the host Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL), by a final score of 21-7.

The Cardinals (3-1) will now prepare for their game against Hillcrest (Country Club Hills, IL). The Hawks come into the non-league game with a 3-1 record. In their last game, Hillcrest toppled Oak Forest (Oak Forest, IL), 48-40, in a league game.
