Iowa High School Basketball - MFL MarMac tops Lanesboro
January 29, 2022: Monona, IA 52159 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the MFL MarMac Bulldogs (Monona, IA) and the visiting Lanesboro Burros (Lanesboro, MN), saw MFL MarMac's basketball squad knock off Lanesboro by a count of 53-37.
With the victory, MFL MarMac upgrades its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Central (Elkader, IA) to play the Warriors in a Upper Iowa challenge on Tuesday, February 1. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 15-3. Central won 53-35 in their recent league challenge against North Fayette Valley (West Union, IA)
Next up, the Burros play the Spring Grove Lions (Spring Grove, MN) in a A Section 1 challenge, on Friday, February 4. Lanesboro will attempt to upgrade on its 14-6 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 5-14 record after their 62-38 non-league loss to Lewiston-Altura (Lewiston, MN).
