In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Auburn Maroons (Auburn, NY) basketball squad edged the host Rome Free Academy Black Knights (Rome, NY), by a margin of 84-78.

The Maroons (5-3) will now prepare for their outing against Cortland (Cortland, NY). The Purple Tigers go into the Section 3 Salt City - Empire outing with a 3-3 record. In their last outing, Cortland was tipped by Jamesville-DeWitt (DeWitt, NY), 50-44, in a league outing.
