The Bessemer City Yellow Jackets basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting East Gaston Warriors to 53 in the Yellow Jackets league triumph on Thursday.

The Yellow Jackets now sport a 18-3 record.

The Warriors (10-11) will now prepare for their contest against Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC). The Rams enter the 1A/2A Conference 40 contest with a 2-18 record. In their last contest, Highland Tech was nudged by Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC), 86-53, in a league contest.
