South Carolina High School Basketball - Cheraw holds off Lee Central
January 9, 2018: Bishopville, SC 29010 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Cheraw Braves (Cheraw, SC) and the host Lee Central Stallions (Bishopville, SC), saw Cheraw's basketball squad hold off Lee Central by a tally of 52-47.
With the victory, Cheraw improves its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Darlington (Darlington, SC) to confront the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 10. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 7-3. Darlington won 38-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Marlboro County (Bennettsville, SC)
Next up, the Stallions confront the Andrew Jackson Volunteers (Kershaw, SC) in a AA Region IV challenge, on Friday, January 12. Lee Central will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Volunteers come into the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 71-49 league win over Chesterfield (Chesterfield, SC).
