In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Shelby Whippets (Shelby, OH) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, OH), by a margin of 60-35.

The Whippets (15-0) will now prepare for their outing against Galion (Galion, OH). The Tigers go into the Mid-Ohio outing with a 4-11 record. In their last outing, Galion was trounced by Pleasant (Marion, OH), 69-43, in a league outing.
