Texas High School Basketball - Lufkin fells Silsbee
December 13, 2022: Lufkin, TX 75901 Lufkin Panthers (Lufkin, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Silsbee Tigers (Silsbee, TX), 66-52 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Lufkin upgrades its record to 16-0 on the season. The Panthers host Pine Tree (Longview, TX) to clash with the Pirates in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Pine Tree won 49-38 in their recent non-league bout against Spring Hill (Longview, TX)
Next up, the Tigers clash with the Bridge City Cardinals (Bridge City, TX) in a 4A Region III District 19 bout, on Friday, December 16. Silsbee will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 9-8 record after their 69-13 non-league win over South Cameron (Creole, LA).
