In Thursday's non-league outing, the host Casa Grande Cougars softball team scored a close 4-3 win over the Fairfax Stampede.

Coming up next, the Cougars battle the Higley Knights (Gilbert, AZ) in a 5A San Tan outing, on Friday, April 12. Casa Grande will attempt to upgrade on its 13-12 season record. The Knights enter the outing with a 15-6 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Chaparral (Scottsdale, AZ).
