In Friday's non-league match, the host Pisgah Bears basketball team scored a decisive 56-29 triumph over the Swain County Maroon Devils.

In their next game, the Bears meet the Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC) in a 3A Conference 54 match, on Tuesday, January 25. Pisgah will attempt to better on its 11-4 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 10-7 record after their 63-5 league win over East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC).
