Louisiana High School Basketball - Denham Springs tops Dutchtown
February 7, 2023: Geismar, LA 70734 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Denham Springs Yellowjackets (Denham Springs, LA) and the host Dutchtown Griffins (Geismar, LA), saw Denham Springs's basketball squad knock off Dutchtown by a count of 72-62.
With the victory, Denham Springs upgrades its record to 21-5 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Walker (Walker, LA) to play the Wildcats in a 5A District 5 challenge on Friday, February 10. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 23-5. Walker won 96-56 in their recent league challenge against St. Amant (St. Amant, LA)
Next up, the Griffins play the East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA) in a 5A District 5 challenge, on Friday, February 10. Dutchtown will attempt to upgrade on its 8-12 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 13-12 record after their 62-34 league win over Live Oak (Watson, LA).
