The Casteel Colts the visiting Desert Mountain Wolves softball squad by a final score of 8-6 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Colts (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Williams Field (Gilbert, AZ). The Black Hawks go into the 5A San Tan battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, Williams Field by Verrado (Buckeye, AZ), 10-9, in a non-league battle.

The Wolves now possess a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Centennial for a non-league battle on Friday, March 19. Desert Mountain will meet a Coyotes squad coming off a 9-1 non-league win over Arcadia (Phoenix, AZ). The Coyotes record now stands at 1-0.
