North Carolina High School Volleyball - Trinity East Davidson
September 13, 2021: Thomasville, NC 27360 The East Davidson Golden Eagles volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Trinity Bulldogs to 1 in the Golden Eagles non-league victory on Monday.
The Golden Eagles now possess a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Davidson for a Central Carolina 1A/2A game on Tuesday, September 14. East Davidson will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 3-0 league win over Thomasville (Thomasville, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-5.
The Bulldogs (4-6) will now prepare for their game against High Point Central (High Point, NC). The Bison enter the non-league game with a 5-4 record. In their last game, High Point Central defeated Ben L. Smith (Greensboro, NC), 3-0, in a league game.
Match Summary
After falling behind 7 to 13 in the 3rd set, East Davidson stormed back to defeat Trinity in 4 sets, 25-19, 22-25, 25-23, and 25-18. Leading the Eagles in the comeback were Lyndsay Reid with 21 kills, 23 digs, and 7 aces, Callie Warrick with 8 kills, Kaitlyn Wallace with 6 kills, 12 digs, 15 assists, and 3 aces, Kara Mahan with 5 kills, 13 digs, 24 assists, and 2 aces, Kela Rich with 3 kills, and Emma Anderson with 13 digs, 3 aces, and 13 service points. East is now 5-2 overall, and will travel to face South Davidson tomorrow at 6 p.m.
