January 23, 2024: Chester, SC 29706 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Woodruff Wolverines (Woodruff, SC) and the host Chester Cyclones (Chester, SC), saw Woodruff's basketball squad wallop Chester by a tally of 76-42.
With the victory, Woodruff improves its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Emerald (Greenwood, SC) to confront the Vikings in a AAA Region 4 challenge on Friday, January 26. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 7-13. Emerald lost 65-44 in their recent league challenge against Clinton (Clinton, SC)
Next up, the Cyclones confront the Union County Yellowjackets (Union, SC) in a AAA Region 4 challenge, on Friday, January 26. Chester will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 7-14 record after their 43-35 league loss to Clinton (Clinton, SC).
