Maple River Eagles (Mapleton, MN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Waseca Bluejays (Waseca, MN), 72-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Maple River upgrades its record to 37-14 on the season.

Next up, the Bluejays clash with the Belle Plaine Tigers (Belle Plaine, MN) in a AA Section 2 bout, on Friday, February 23. Waseca will attempt to upgrade on its 8-18 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 8-15 record after their 49-36 league win over Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial (Lake Crystal, MN).
